Everything H2O is an evolving organization with a mission to educate the public on water topics. We are a diverse group of people with a wide range of experience and expertise from public and private sectors as well as academia. We strongly believe that educating the public, especially the next generation, is critical for a sustainable environment including our precious water resources.

Rizwan Hamid – Executive Director, President & Board Chair

Rizwan Hamid is an environmental engineer with over 30 years of experience in the municipal and utilities industry. He has served in leadership and technical roles on projects in all areas of water resources within natural and urban environments. Rizwan’s geographic footprint spans from Miami, FL to Seattle, WA having worked in many states across the country. His passion for water and the environment started during his college years at Oregon State University and continued into graduate school at Florida International University. After decades of consulting, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at industry conferences, and becoming a recognized subject matter expert in water resources planning, Rizwan founded Everything H2O, a nonprofit organization to educate the public on water topics. Rizwan enjoys good company and conversations, racquet sports, and running.

Thomas Keown – Secretary & Board Member

Thomas Keown has been a professional in the water/wastewater utility industry for over 25 years. His professional areas of interest and expertise are in planning, design and management activities of water/wastewater utilities. He is a graduate of Seattle University and has served on their ABET accreditation board. He has assisted college seniors on their design projects to improve the standard of life in Central America. Thomas is also the Past Chair of the Covington Chamber of Commerce, in Washington state, and has served in multiple volunteer capacities for the Pacific Northwest Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA). Thomas is currently the General Manager of Covington Water District, ensuring safe and clean drinking water to their residents. Along with his wife and children, Thomas and his family enjoy sports and streaming movies while learning and being active members in their local community.

Prasad Chittaluru – Treasurer & Board Member

Prasad Chittaluru is the founder & CEO of EPIC Engineering & Consulting Group and co-founder and vice president for ECHO, Utility Engineering and Surveying. Over the past 27 years Dr. Chittaluru has enjoyed the opportunity to enhance clients’ business efficiencies and customer service through simplifying workflows, facilitating collaboration and software systems optimization. Prasad is an entrepreneur at heart, with a passion for STEM education and is a proponent of technology jobs for younger generations. A long-time resident of Central Florida, Prasad has served as a volunteer and supporter of various organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America, USO, DAV, Seminole County Public Schools and Leadership Seminole. Prasad’s passion is in promoting interest in engineering and sciences careers in K-12 students and in bringing high-tech jobs to Florida. Prasad and his wife Shri started the Central Florida community based FIRST Robotics, Super 7, in his family garage in Oviedo, FL. Prasad and Shri have been coaching this team of middle and high school students from 9 different schools for over a decade. Prasad is also an active member of the ASCE, Florida Section, where he is involved in various educational outreach activities and professional presentations.

Peg Staeheli – Board Member

Peg Staeheli is an accomplished landscape architect who has devoted her creativity and design skills to enhancing and elevating the public realm for over 40 years. She spent 10 years planning for water and sewer districts understanding the connection between supply and development. She was a founding principal of SvR Design Company in Seattle where she led the multi-disciplinary firm for 26 years offering the right blend of aesthetics and technical problem-solving on infrastructure, mobility, stormwater management and urban site projects. Peg approaches design as a collaboration of minds and disciplines with the goal of improving mobility, livability, and walkability for all people. As a LEED-accredited professional, Peg seeks design and planning solutions that maximize community benefit with minimal impact on the environment. She was instrumental in the first large scale application of green stormwater infrastructure for urban housing in the United States and have received the Urban Land Institutes Global Award of Excellence. Peg served on Seattle’s Pedestrian Advisory Board and Urban Forestry Commission and continues as a board emeritus of the Landscape Architecture Foundation and participating with the Mayor’s Institute for City Design. Peg remains active in searching for new ways to provide equitable access to infrastructure that supports people and our environment. She is an avid urban walker, kayaker and bicyclist.

Shane Sanders – Board Member

Shane Sanders is a Professor of Economics at Syracuse University with published research in the fields of behavioral sports economics, applied econometrics, and applied game theory. Dr. Sanders is presently an Editorial Board member of the journal Managerial Finance, and an Associate Editor of the Academy of Economics & Finance Journal. Since 2017, Dr. Sanders has served as an analytical scouting consultant to a premiere international basketball team. In that time, his work has supported three league championships. In his academic work, Sanders studies economic contests, including the economic implications of resource contest and of status contests involving environmental goods. Shane serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Maryland Mathletics program, which provides sport-centered STEM learning to inner city youth. He enjoys reading in his free time.
